The company has more than 300,000 employees globally, of which more than 1,500 are dedicated to carry out freight transportation, air and land express internally in Denmark and to and from the rest of the world.

In 2004, DHL Express moved its courier department from Kastrup to Brøndby, where DHL’s cargo terminal was already located. The two was consolidated on Banemarksvej in Brøndby and the new terminal became DHL’s largest in the Nordic countries.

According to DHL, combining the largest terminal activities has created great synergy making it possible to keep costs down and optimise the production machinery. DHL is owned solely by Deutsche Post World Net.

The DHL Relay is sponsored by DHL. It began 25 years ago and is considered to be the largest company team-building event in Denmark with more than 140,000 participating runners.

Our foreign goods delivered through Copenhagen airport are passed on to the terminal in Brøndby in less than half an hour. It is of strategic importance for us to be able to comply with special services for our customers.
